Women Searches For Rich Husband on Craigslist
Search for a man earning more than $500,000 a year generating discussion, controversy
Finding a rich husband may be a bad business deal, or so an anonymous 25 year old woman was advised recently.
The woman, who posted an ad on the New York Craigslist.org was looking for advice on the best way to acquire a husband who made, at minimum, more than $500,000 a year. This may seem like a large sum, but on Wall Street, where bankers can earn yearly bonuses of up to $10 million, an annual salary of more than a half of a million dollars, while not exactly common, is not unheard of, either.
Update
The posting, and the response by the anonymous banker, have since been pulled from Craiglist, but debate and discussion continues around the identity of the banker, who was rumored to be an employee of JPMorgan Chase. Spokespersons for the banking firm have denied these allegations.

Chinese Woman Arrested for Online Misrepresentation
Woman allegedly pretended to be raped, pregnant 15 year old girl
According to the Associated Press, police in central China have placed a 50 year old woman, charged with posing as a teenaged, pregnant rape victim on the Internet, under arrest.
The woman, known only by her surname, Chen, has not been formally charged with a crime, and officials say that her detainment period will expire in the days. When asked to comment on the case, Wang Bing an official with the propaganda department of the Tianqiao District Public Security Bureau in Jinan city, said “She fabricated rumors and misled the public.”
“We’re discussing further punishment,” Wang added. “Maybe re education through labor. “
Chen reportedly told people during online chat sessions that she was a fifteen year old girl who had been raped by her stepfather and was now pregnant. Her online alias “Little Raindrop,” generated so much sympathy and so much website traffic that a version of the “Little Raindrop” story eventually spread throughout the Internet.
Update
As of press time, the woman, identified only by her surname “Chen” was still being held in a detention cell in the Tianqiao province. She has yet to be formally charged.

Japanese Agriculture Ministry officials reprimanded for Wikipedia usage
Bureaucrats spent work hours contributing to blogs about Anime, cartoon robots
Six bureaucrats have been reprimanded after an internal probe uncovered that they had spent a majority of their work hours contributing to Wikipedia entries unrelated to farming or agricultural issues including, but not limited to, some 260 entries about cartoon robots, according to a report from the Associated Press.
Together, the number of entries totaled 408, and many focused on the Anime program, Gundam, an extremely popular series about giant robots. Gundam fans, known in Japan as “otaku” nerds are largely responsible for the Internet posts relating to the show. The problem, of course, comes when the “otaku” use business hours for personal Internet usage.
Each of the six officials, dubbed the “Gundam Six,” by bloggers, possibly in playful reference to recent “Jena Six,” incident in Louisiana, received a verbal reprimand from the ministry, a new order that prohibits Wikipedia access while at work has also been enforced, and access to the site via any of the ministry’s computers has also been disabled.
“The Agricultural Ministry is not in charge of Gundam,” said ministry official Tsutomu Shimomura in a statement to the AP.
Update
Five other employees, who contributed to the Gundam related Wikipedia posts, have been verbally reprimanded, but not otherwise disciplined for their involvement.
